A maternity leave venture, holding space in nature for babies and their parents/carers.
A little bit about us
We are two friends and first time mums who trained together as primary school teachers and later as Forest School Leaders. Dorka works as a woodland tutor for an outdoor alternative education space and she has set up her own little Forest School business called Wild Wings which runs after school and holiday clubs. Fiona has run Forest School sessions for a range of school children and she is trained in working with children in the early years. We had our daughters 2 months apart and now we are ready to share our love of nature with others.

Please note that the sessions are for pre-walking babies!
How to get there
By car - free parking at the Abbey Leisure Complex, then walk down Pool Way to Whitehill Road. Take a left towards Newmarket Road and walk until you see a driveway going left just after the bus stop. The orchard is right at the end of this driveway.
By bus - The number 3 bus comes here, get off at Stanesfield Road stop, and walk towards Newmarket Road until you find a driveway to your left. The orchard is right at the end of this driveway.
What to Bring
Make sure you and baby are dressed for the weather - we will be outdoors the whole time so be prepared for this. The orchard is a grassy spot but can get muddy after heavy rains. We will have blankets and there are benches but feel free to bring anything your baby or you would like to lie/sit on. We will provide hot drinks and snacks - please bring your own lidded mug!
